As a sixth-generation family owned business, Oswald’s has provided quality care to the residents of Naperville and beyond for 145 years and counting. Established in 1875, it is the second-oldest business in Naperville and the oldest continually owned family pharmacy in Illinois. A full-service pharmacy and home to one of Chicagoland’s largest medical equipment showrooms, Oswald’s also offers gifts, toys, games, puzzles, and health and beauty items.

When Oswald's was looking for ways to commemorate their 145th anniversary as the second-oldest business in Naperville, I was thrilled to help facilitate this partnership between my client and my former work home, Naper Settlement, in celebration of Oswald's 145th anniversary. Given their legacy and collection of family artifacts dating back to the 1800s, it was the perfect way to showcase local history in conjunction with the local museum.

Oswald’s anniversary celebration included $4,000 in donations to support local nonprofits, customer appreciation giveaways, and a pop-up exhibit in partnership with Naper Settlement documenting the family’s 145-
year history.

This private-public partnership was a hit - generating major Chicagoland press that resulted in more than 5M impressions and $100k in media value, including a morning Around Town feature on WGN.
